Process of changing Timing Belt on 1990 Honda Accord sedan?

Hi,

We have a 1990 Honda Accord sedan which needs a timing belt. My husband knows how to change timing belts in general but has never done so on a Honda and needs to know the process. He knows he needs take off the water pump and motor mount, however he's not sure how to take off the motor mount. He's heard it comes off in pieces. He also mentioned something about some accessories that he's not sure if they have to come off. What he needs is a step by step instruction. Does anybody know of a website that would give him what he needs? Thanks,

Dont do it if you have never done it before or if you are not a licensed ASC mechanicProcess of changing Timing Belt on 1990 Honda Accord sedan?
Have your hubby go to any auto parts store(or call first) and see if they have a chiltons manual for that year and make. The manual will give you step by step information on how to do it. It also explains step by step how to do practically anything to your car. Every mechanic will tell you that they are invaluable. Your local library might have one as well. I have got one for every car I have owned. It depends on the car as to what has to be taken off, my old 90 daytona i did a water pump and had to take the motor mounts off, the belts off, the timing belt off just to get to the water pump. Get the manual and read up on it to see if it is something he can do. They usually run about 20 bucks or so. good luck.
